    Default super expensive rapid detox

what's the deal with those clinics that put you under, flush the opiates out of your body overnight and let you go in the morning good as new? I know some of them charge five figure sums for their 'services.'

How legit can they possibly be? I know if they administer an antagonist it will immediately induce w/d, but how exactly can they have your brain fully restocked with natural endorphins in less then 24 hours?

Any positive experiences with this kinda program?

They can't "restock" you. They can only take away what is there...I heard this takes away WD...the rest is still up to you.

    Hey NGNM,

    You wrote, about "Rapid Detox,"
quote:...and (they) let you go in the morning good as new?
Whatever else "Rapid Detox" is, whatever else "Rapid Detox" does, it does not, IMO, render one as "good as new."

    Nope.

I've got to admit that I didn't look extensively into rapid detox, but then again I'm the kind of person who, upon hearing the word "coma" says thanks but no thanks. ;)

You could spend 15K on a day of treatment, or you could lie in bed for a week, sweat it out, rent a stack of movies, sip chicken soup and have 15 grand left in your pocket.

If I couldn't have done it on my own, I would have chosen a traditional detox program. Also, just as a thought, I can't express how grateful I have become for the withdrawals I went through. The fact that they were memorably difficult has only strengthen my resolve against ever going back. I also found that they were a source of valuable lessons that have only come to serve my first steps into recovery. Again, I really don't know enough about UROD to comment on it directly, but the more natural you can manage the better. As it has been stated, putting you out to rush the withdrawals through your system without you being conscious of it is one thing, but your system will still need to go through the process of healing and balancing itself.

In the end, what really counts is what works for you. I wish you all the best, and I'm glad that you're looking into various options that are available to help get you clean. Best of luck!

I've heard from someone who went through this procedure that you wake up feeling like you just got hit by a train.

I would imagine UROD somewhat allows you to 'bypass' days 1-3 of detox, but you're still going to suffer the rest,...as well as PAWS.

I did it - traveled 500 miles, paid over $5000 to wake up sick to death. Getting hit by a train is not a bad analogy. Then these quacks try to blame you for the procedure not working. I would not recommend it, it doesn;t work and everyone knows that, especially the UROD people
