    Default Chinese formula

Has anyone heard of, or tried the herbal Chinese formula that I've been reading about on other boards? It's suppose to be for depression, but they say it works well for withdrawals from pain medications. They supposedly have a money back guarantee and free samples, but when I checked the site it said the postage for the free sample was $16.00. Would be worth it if it worked.

Hmmm...I'd be skeptical. I went to a Chinese herbalist, and he took my pulses, did tongue diagnosis, etc., they made up an herbal formula based on what was happening with MY body. It did help with wd's from H.

:D And I just thought the Oxys did that![:I]

Jan.....there are some great posts and stickys on supplements here. You might do better with SAMe,5HTP...and excercise. And no...pacing back and forth waiting for Fed-X DOESN'T count as an excercise program.

And not to slam our Chinese neighbors...but WHAT did they do with all that re-called dog food [?]

Killibear, The name of this herbal formula is just Chinese-formula, and the site is www.chinese-formula.com I can't make up my mind about it.
I'm always leery of this kind of thing too, but after knowing about a lot of drugs that have been approved by the FDA, I think we are taking our chances with all drugs. This is at least not a drug, or like Suboxone, the strongest opiate out there. I read where the FDA once approved Heroin to help people get off of morphine!! and the pharmaceutical companies are making billions off of the drug Suboxone. Guess I'm getting really paranoid with not really trusting anyone anymore.

Jay, what if you hightail it after Fed-Ex in your car, park a ways away so it looks like a coincidence that you're running into him, and then RUN after the bastard? Does THAT count? :)

i went to a chinese herbalist and they put me on herbs for my detox. like dopaw said they took my pulses (liver, heart, kidney and something else) and put me on a couple of different things specific to what was going on with me. thats kind of how it works. there is no one size fits all. usually they put you on something determined by your symptoms and then put you on other stuff to counteract certain things in the first stuff they gave you and so on. kind of like a balancing act, a seemingly complicated balancing act.
all in all the herbs cost me like 60-70$. now i know the question begging to be asked is whether this is all BS or not. i wondered that myself. as a skeptic i will tell you that i did notice a difference between the days i took the herbs and days that i didnt. i took them for the first 3 weeks of my detox and i felt worse (edgier so to speak) after i stopped taking them. whether this was psychological or physiological i cannot ascertain.

i would not advise buying this because they will not tell you the ingredients until they have your money--very shady business practice. and it's not cheap like they say! looks like a scam to me and i do use alot of supplements and know quite a bit about them. anything i order comes from the usa--studies have been done on indian/chinese supps and they had high levels of heavy metals, like lead and mercury. i really wouldn't try this stuff!!

also, there are some good supplement threads here that will help with detox/paws. a good free form amino blend is key, along with a multi-vit/min, 5htp, samE, magnesium and many others that i have listed here on the supp threads.
