all i have to say is "what the f*ck?"
i posted a goddamn picture of a mother cat and her kitten. why did that thread need to turn into bullsh*t? i blame myself, in part. but for f*cksake people, if you have problems with others, and they are personal, let's just keep it in the email. i am guilty, and should not have responded as i did to cara. i should have emailed her in the first place. cara, you as well, should have emailed me in the first place. and anyone, in any case, should not be personally attacking or questioning someone in a f*cking thread with A MOTHER CAT AND HER KITTEN!! just as well, i'm not trying to preach here, just REALLY disappointed that this could happen.
a thread that started with a mother cat and her kitten, is now locked. shame on all of us, seriously. SERIOUSLY.:(
Amen Captain!! Like I said, I think I'm the scapegoat. I guess some people just want someone to pick on. What can you do? I'd like to think I stopped that kind of stuff in middle school, but I'm sure I'm guilty of doing it in high school too. But, geesh, we're all grown ups here, right?
I'm sorry to anyone that misperceived that I was being negative or (can't even think of a word for it), but to my defense, I was not. I was simply acknowledging Scott for an offline discussion we had and I was REALLY appreciative - NOTHING ELSE!
It’s unfortunate that others had to witness the unprovoked hostility dished out. I see it all the time by certain people, but wouldn't wish it on anyone. Its not nice, necessary or even close to relevant half the time.
Maybe some people just don't value levity, humor or descriptive narratives. Maybe they pride themselves in being very serious and matter of fact. I can understand that some people just don’t enjoy playful banter or my really long and boring descriptive narratives. I can respect that, but politely ask for the same respect in return. (Maybe just ignore my humor instead of presuming I'm a horrible person trying to accomplish something destructive.)
It gets old, but I take it because of the emails I get from other moms out there that can identify with me and ask for my support. I do it for them and they are the ones that, to their surprise, are supporting me everyday through my recovery. I only hope to return the favor.
Anyone got anymore cute cat pics? I think captaincake brought something truly beautiful to this site, and I for one think that he deserves a pat on the back, a true man can show his "softer" side, and that doesn't make him any less of a man. Rock on captaincake!
