Exclamation Rants & Raves - What's Bugging You?

I figured that I would start a new thread here on the lighter side, because sometimes I just need to rant about random stuff, that really doesn't have to do with recovery.

If something makes you mad... driving, lines, idiots, etc. Post it on this thread please! :D.

This is very light-hearted in intent, and hopefully people will post some funny stuff on here. It's interesting to see what people are "passionate" about.

So, if something rediculous happened to you today, yesterday, or any day. Let's here about it!

I will start... Costco (like Sam's Club):

So... it was precisely 45 months ago to the day that I agreed to the "executive" membership at my local Costco, promising the elusive 2% cash back bonus!!! (I'm really not as excited about this as the exclamations would suggest). I figured, whatever, maybe with my TV (1800.00... and totally worth it), I would cross the threshold and get at least $3.00 (US) back. (I say US because Mexico also has 100's of Costco's now, perhaps that's why the nutrition facts on my Pringles say "grasa" for fat.) Good news!, I have spent about $4300.00 (US) in the last 5 months, seriously, I was blown away. Perhaps I can now uncover some of the mystery behind the elusive female psyche. Forget the cliché, 17lb mayo (which by the way has a total calorie count of 48,000 calories, that's about 10lbs of fat for those keeping track), its no longer about that, or watermelons/ pianos in bulk (family guy reference). No, now its about useless stuff that I will never need, yet crave daily. I saw this sweet set of picture frames, and I thought.. I don't have any in my house, might as well go from 0-60 in one night (0-60 is good for automobiles right), next I got a blender.. You know, target has blenders that are about 20 bucks for a decent one... Costco appears to be lacking that option... I bought a Blender that pretty much grows fruit, makes ice-cream and through atomic fusion, blends my smoothies on an elemental level... sweet... is 700.00 too much to pay for a blender?.. I don't know, but I do know that I only REALLY paid $686.00 because my sweet 2% return (that was totally worth the extra 50 bucks a year for the rest of my life). That's the thing about Costco.. You could be saving money, but Ill never know, because I probably only saved 0.13 cents on my paper towels (pack of 2 million vs. 8 at target), but I spent an extra $3200.00 (US), on talking rice cookers (and I didnt even know I needed one)... Oh well, it beats the hell out of wasting money at the bar.. wait... awwww

PERFECT thread for this moment, Mel.

I have a rash under my right boob that hasn't gone away in like three months now. It's f**king annoying. Also, I went to Six Flags today, which was fun for the most part but I HATED how everyone there was so lumbering and sweaty and IN MY WAY dammit. It was also expensive.

I also hate traffic lately. There's too much of it and people drive too slow.

Oh, I could go on and on and on lately. In serious need of inventory.

rant: its not a blister its a huge hard bump from achilles tendonitis aggravated by new cleats. i'm currently on anti-imflammatories and if it doesn't work....another surgery awaits. (and...that's just one league finished. i'm still playing on two other teams and usually play through early November). woot.

really...when will i make a sane decision and stop playing ball?

and...i'm sure none of you really care...and that's fine by me.

other than that....i got nothin to complain about. marvelous.

You'll stop when the risks outweigh the benefits..............and I care.

Im glad to see you can still play the sport you love- I think you mentioned that there was a possibility after your recent surgery that you may not be able to play ball at all.

that is awesome that you can still play!

I have a new gripe today :p... I am like an old man haha.

Starbucks: What the hell is with the wait time at this place. I could walk into Starbucks when there are 10 people in line, and get my drink in 5-7 minutes. I walk in with ONE PERSON in line, and it still takes 5-7 minutes. They have it down, they make you sit in line as long as you can, to peruse the baked goods/ cooler food. On a busy morning they have 2 people on the register, 2 people on the bar, and one person on frappacinos. On a slow time they have one person working it all. Now, I understand it would not be economical to have 4 people working the down times. However, when you have only 2 employees working and there are 5 people in line, maybe the one emloyee should be multi-purpose. If I decide I want regular coffee (which is what I get), maybe the guy at the espresso bar should move over and help with those drinks. Instead, he yells out... "anyone getting espress drinks" and then proceeds to make the drinks from BEHIND me. Then I get up to the front, and the guy makes me wait to get the coffee, while he hands the ready-made espresso drinks out. What the heck Starbucks! Stop making me stand in line! :p... that is all.

Perfect example. Right now there was 2 people in front of me... they order Frappacinos (blended things).. I go up, order an Iced tea, nothing fancy, just black iced tea... the guy rings me up, with nobody behind me. Puts the cup on the side.. and then proceeds to talk to the girl making the frappacinos for 3 minutes! instead of just pouring iced tea into a cup for me... time to protest Starbucks! :D
