I have a doctor appt on tuesday who percsribed me 2 weeks worth of suboxone 8mg 3x daily. This was 2 weeks ago. I really think this drug is working. I dont want him to mess with the dosage. Im not sure of what most doctors who perscribe suboxone do, but will they cut my dose down?? I will tell him im doing well on this dose, and lowering it may cause a problem. Does anyone know what to expect or what there doctors will do??

My doc has allowed me to stay on Sub for 8 months. He knows of my relapse history and said 6 months to a year would be good for me.

If it's working well then hopefully your doc won't want to rock the boat just yet.

My doctor prescribed the Suboxone to me 2 weeks ago, and today is my last day. I am nervous to stop taking it, but it has worked wonders for me and I had a 6-8 oxy 40 mg habit a day.

Wow, yes, i had an oxy habbit of using 6-8 oxy 40's daily. Then i switched to heroin because i could not get oxys anymore. I dont shoot, but snort them. My appt is tommorrow. Iv been doing well on the 8mg 3x a day, which my doc says is a top dose. I also am taking Klonopin 1mg 3x a day, Zanaflex(muscle relaxer) 4mg 2x a day. These 3 meds work wonders for quitting heroin/oxys. BUT dont let me fool you, i still get cravings, and thoughts of using just one more time, its hard. Dam hard to beat.

I plan on telling my doc not to change this script due to the fact im doing very well.
