Default K2-'Legal' Fake weed, 10X stronger

Yet another substance in a fast growing list of 'heads up' (pardon the pun) :o for parents. And maybe some addicts. And NOT to be confused with Salvia.
In a meeting I attend, a local ER triage nurse shared the recent experience of a 16 yr old presented with symptoms that ranged from cardiac to epileptic convulsions. And tested negative on the 'standard panels'!

In the link make sure to read to the bottom quoting organic chemist John W. Huffman of Clemson University:

"It's like playing Russian roulette. You don't know what it's going to do to you." "You're a potential winner of a Darwin award," referring to the tongue-in-cheek awards given to people who "do a service to humanity by removing themselves from the gene pool."

'...in China and Korea people were selling the compound as a plant growth stimulant.'

Spice has been around in head shops and the internet for 15+ years now.

When this stuff hits the major news outlets it just increases demand exponentially. Makes me wonder how much the distributor of Spice or "K2" paid Yahoo to run the story.

Gotta love the unintended (or maybe deliberately intended...) consequences of prohibition.

Question Smoking "Spice?" to get high

My oldest son (20yrs. old) and his friends have quit smoking pot because they are waiting to join the Marines and can not test positive. They are now going to the Smoker Outlets buying 'Spice"to get high. They looked so messed up when I caught them smoking it. They said it is sold as an incense but were told at the smoke shop it gets you high. They said the buzz is very simialr to smoking pot. This **** is made in Japan and I am very concerned about the effects. Does anyone know anything about ''Spice''. Any information would be helpful.
    Thanks, Linda

Uh, what are they going to do when they get to Parris Island and they can't even **** without a DI yelling at them? :D

Although your son may be pleased to know he will have plenty of chances to get high -- off sleep deprivation!
