Default Two years/2 months

Hello old friends and newcomers.....I have been AWOL for awhile because I lost my nephew on Dec 26th. Had to deal with the loss, but I am okay and trudging on :-) Through this whole tragic event, not once did I bring out the violin and say, whoa is me....not once did I think of falling off the wagon and using again as a crutch! Why and how could you not, you ask?? because, from the very first day I decided to battle Mr Addiction and say "enough is enough" I have chased my recovery and built fences and moats and attended NA meetings, Willingness to do whatever it takes to keep that ride to Hell and back called Withdrawls a thing of the past. Now, my thinking is that of a recovered addict....not an addict....big difference.....I don't fight demons or urges anymore.....If I tried to do this by myself, I would have given in a long time ago. Knowledge is power.....A strong Conviction and a strong Resolve to stay drug free is still my mantra and firing on all cylinders. Of course I am an addict, and that is why I have one option only, and that is to never get complacent and forget the road I have travelled. Life is good and anyone can beat Mr Addiction at his own game, but it is a work in progress, don't ever forget that!! All the best!!

Bobby

You're living proof that the program works only if you work it. Keep it up, my friend; you're quite the inspiration for all of us.
