Thread: adderall and suboxone

I took some adderall after taking suboxone for a few weeks and the past few days i dont feel the sub working anymore

does adderall effect the effects of suboxone?
if so how long does it take to clear my system?

Hey LOTE..I don't have first hand experience with adderall while on sub. But my quess ,being an amphetamine...they would tend to cancel each other.
What doses of what are you taking? Are you asking about the sub or adderall being out of your system?

Im on 8mg of sub three times a day.
but i didnt feel the effects of sub after i took 60mg of adderall xr.
just wondering if they cancel each other

OK..backup...you're taking 24mg of sub [?]What do you mean by it's not working anymore? What was your DOC and dosage?

The saying "less is more" with the the sub is true. Less dosage..less time. But 24mg of sub is huge!

Sounds like you may be taking too much sub..and trying to use the adderall to counter the effects.

amphetamines clear the system very quick. I have been on adderall for years, and would never try taking 60mg. for fear of having a heart attack--though I do take 60mg. a day, but not all at once--so i guess if you were taking xr. it is only like thirty, but if you have never taken it before that is a big dose, but should be gone in 2 or 3 days, and after 24 hrs. the effects will be gone.

Amphetamines actually potentiate most opiates, they definitely do not cancel them out, but if you are that much amp. of course you will tend to fill the amp more--but then again your on 24mg. of sub. Anyway, amphetamine does not cause sub not to work.
